Baccalaureate
16 and 17 years old

Upon reaching high school, our students can choose between two degrees based on their interests and goals: the High School Diploma (HSD, American Diploma) and the dual degree of HSD and International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). Both pathways are entirely and equally equivalent to the national diploma when selecting and accessing Spanish universities.

What differentiates our baccalaureate?

Extensive Vocational Guidance Program

Programme of Internships in Organizations (mandatory in Year 11 and optional in Year 12).

Opportunity to select the Integrated Music Program and achieve the same level as the entrance exams for the Higher Conservatory.

Emphasis on digital technologies.

Ambitious Information Literacy Program.

After a long history of bilingual education, our students reach level C1 or C2 in English by Year 12.

High School Diploma (HSD)

Our HSD is distinguished by the combination of:

A specific focus on the comprehensive preparation for the PEvAU (Baccalaureate and University Entrance Examination);

Orientation to a wider range of professional fields;

The incorporation of aspects of the International Baccalaureate, which our teachers use in their American Diploma classes.

For its design and implementation, we have relied on top-notch professionals and companies in their fields.

Students who opt for this modality have to take the complete PEvAU tests (both the Access Phase and the Admission Phase).

IB Diploma Programme

Our IB is distinguished by the combination of:

The focus on the development of skills linked to future academic and professional careers;

A practical methodology that fosters inquiry, scientific research, fieldwork, data analysis, and information processing;

The use of new technologies;

The development of a Monograph, an independent research project guided by the student themselves, culminating in an essay of up to 4000 words.

IB Diploma Programme

Our IB is distinguished by the combination of:

The focus on the development of skills linked to future academic and professional careers;

A practical methodology that fosters inquiry, scientific research, fieldwork, data analysis, and information processing;

The use of new technologies;

The development of a Monograph, an independent research project guided by the student themselves, culminating in an essay of up to 4000 words.

International Baccalaureate

The IB conducts its own exams at the end of the cycle, whose results are valid for studying both in Spain (depending on the regulations of the different Autonomous Communities) and abroad. It is the educational program with the highest recognition and prestige worldwide.

For admission to a public university in Andalusia, students take the specific tests of the Admission Phase of the PEvAU (Prueba de Evaluación del Bachillerato y para el Acceso a la Universidad) to complete their mark, in cases where the access mark is particularly high.

Students who pass all subjects also receive the HSD, which gives them two Baccalaureate diplomas, multiplying their options for access to the different universities.
