STATUTE AS AN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION CENTRE

We want to offer our students an education that is on par with the best schools in the world. The International Baccalaureate provides the common framework and we provide a unique design that enables students to become the best version of themselves.

Students are the protagonist of their learning in our School. Our pedagogical approach is eminently active and we encourage the advanced development of cognitive, perceptual, collaborative, and creative abilities through practising and enjoying different disciplines.

We do not depend on the Spanish government and we have total freedom to design an educational project in which each decision is made with the goal of providing what is best for our students. This is possible thanks to our Statute as an International Education Centre, which gives us the double advantage of having full autonomy to design the curriculum and the possibility for our students to incorporate into the Spanish system at any time of their schooling and for their university studies.

Frequently asked questions about the Statute as an International Education Centre

In three main aspects:

  • It gives the school regulatory stability and independence.
  • It allows the school to hire teaching staff from outside the European Union.
  • It gives the school more room for pedagogical innovation.

In addition, it offers, among other benefits, greater possibilities for the students to validate their skills and abilities with those of students from some of the best educational centres in the world; to do an exchange with students from other countries and cultures; to continue their education and to undertake an internship outside Spain; and to learn through teaching practices that are shared among international centres that are at the forefront of education.

We are guided by the best qualities that the Spanish education system has, by the experience of more than 130 years of top-quality education, and by the indications of the International Baccalaureate.

At all times, we have the freedom to adjust our teaching practice to offer our students the best education possible. In this sense, the subjects evolve, as they have in the last hundred and thirty years, adapting to the needs and the development in each moment.

Their validation is automatic and is handled by the School. Therefore, if a student leaves the School to continue their studies in the Spanish education system or in any other European education system, they would have no problem doing so since all their previous studies in our centre would be automatically approved.
