Francisco Márquez Villanueva Library is a educational resource centre which houses a vast collection of materials central to learning. The library is facilitated by a team of qualified information specialists committed to the school´s values of respect and industry.
Our aim is to be an active and dynamic resource centre which plays an essential role in the learning process and the development of our students as autonomous lifelong learners, supporting educators and parents in their information resource needs and promoting culture, literature and reading for pleasure for all.
The library collection can be consulted via the online catalog (OPAC). Virtual resources are also available for students, educators and parents for example Issues on line,Britannica School and the image bank Image Quest
Library users can also use the free app “Destiny Quest” to consult, reserve, create lists and comment on ítems.
The library is organized into five distinct spaces allowing flexibility in the service offered to pre-school, primary, junior, secondary and bachillerato students. The newest space is dedicated to quiet reading and group work.
Beyond the bounds of the school the Library boasts a unique and important research feature – The Antique Book Collection. This remarkable collection contains documents dating from the 13th to 18th centuries of great interest and importance to researchers.
